Hello! My name is Amy Konrad. I'm the owner and trainer here at A Girl's Best Friend Dog Training. I started training dogs right out of high school and have spent almost a decade gaining behavioral experience in shelters, boarding facilities, and veterinary clinics. My current projects involve developing/training service animals but I'm also happy solving every day problems for owners.
Dogs are my first love – my first real passion - and I can say first hand a career that's built on passion and helping animals is incredibly rewarding for all involved. I like to champion the cause of over crowded shelters, responsible ownership, and want to educate and help people to understand how to protect and care for their animals responsibly. To work with animals, in any respect, is an opportunity close to my heart.

Our training is focused on providing individuals with the skills and support needed to communicate with and understand their dog. We put an emphasis on high standards of behavior and the development of your relationship with your dog.

Serious dog problems at my house. I posted trying to re-home one of my girls. An awesome dog trainer answered my post. She is truly a miracle worker. My dogs are getting there. Big shout out to Amy Konrad! ...She (Madison) would have been gone had I not met you.
